Ivan Alarcon-Ruiz received his Bachelor Degree in Biotechnology at Universitat Politècnica de València and his Master Degree in Translational Medicine at Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain). He is currently a PhD student in the Molecular Biosciences PhD Program at the Spanish National Center for Cardiovascular Research (CNIC) and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain). He is vice-chair of the Biotechnology Society of Madrid (AsBioMad) and has been widely awarded for his work. His main research interests focus on new therapeutic approaches, targets and biomarkers for cardiovascular diseases and cancer.
